HAM SWAP MEET
Is held the first Saturday of every month regardless of weather- It is located in the parking lot of the Peterson Center at 6455 Dean Martin Drive. Selling begins at sunrise and typically runs 2-3 hours depending on turnout.

A great time was had by all! Special Thanks go out to FRANK WRNZ 559 for organizing this event and to JAY WRKS 678 for providing all the food and to RUSS WRPB 458 for the plaque and posters for WRQL525 Bill’s family. Thank you to our grill masters STEVE WRFS 392 (also for cleaning grills) and ANTHONY WRKX 209. To our photographer LEO WRKD 605. to AL WRXP 230 and RUSS WQXX 726 for carting all the food and supplies to the park and back again, and to DOUG WSCX 719 for the hamburger buns.
We had a total of 46 attendees – The raffle started out with a 2pk of Baofeng UV-5r Radios – several names were drawn and told to reraffle them before we had our first winner Vanessa WSFB260– Another raffle of a 2pk of Baofeng UV-5R Radios won by Jeff WSGV720 and given to Thorsen (the boy drawing the names). $50.00 Amazon gift card won by Jim WSET 720-also given to Thorsen, $50.00 Amazon gift card won by Bill WRPJ 756 (mailed to him) and another $50.00 Amazon gift card won by Leo WRKD 605

1st GMRS BBQ October 13, 2024
The 1st Annual GMRS BBQ was a wonderful day. Everyone enjoyed putting the faces to the voices. The food was good the company better. I would like to thank all those who contributed to this event. Thank you so much for a wonderful day! If I put the wrong names to the faces please let me know. To the entire GMRS Community: Your unwavering support and generosity have made this BBQ possible, and we couldn’t have done this without each and everyone of you. together, we are creating something truly special. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS – Frank WRNZ 559 & Joy WRPI 257 – I would also like to thank Jessi WRFK 870 for being my ride, and loading and unloading all the food and equipment not once but twice. Al WRXP 230 for purchasing a grill for the GMRS community that we couldn’t use, for being an additional vehicle for said stuff and photographer, Josh WRPK 581 for being Franks deliverer of goods, Ann WRNZ559 B for handing out all the name tags, Leo for his excellent photography skills, (and being back up muscle) for everyone else who helped unload and reload at the park, Don WQXE 970 for the wonderful shirt I am wearing in the pictures, Steve WRFS 392 for scrubbing the grills, Jay WRKS 678 & Frank WRNZ 559 for being our grill masters, and the numerous people who helped clean up and put stuff away.
